Konstantin was born near Frankfurt, Germany, and pursued his bachelor's and master's degrees in Chemistry at Goethe University. His research interests centered on the photoregulation of peptides and cytostatics. In Fall 2023, he joined the Li Lab as a visiting student during his master's studies, focusing on manganese-catalyzed reactions of hydrazones. After earning his degree in 2024, Konstantin briefly worked in the pharmaceutical industry before returning to McGill to pursue his PhD.

Beyond the lab, Konstantin enjoys playing football and the piano, cooking, and has a strong interest in Star Wars and anime.
